Unfortunately, waste levels across NSW remain high. A good percentage of this waste is from the demolition of old building projects. Materials such as soil, concrete, bricks, tiles and related detritus are removed from demolished developments in high volumes. Once removed, thousands of tonnes of these materials are thrown into landfills each year.
Newcastle Recycling Solutions aims to change this, recycling high volumes of waste concrete, roofing tiles and related materials that would otherwise go straight into landfills. Hundreds of tonnes of waste materials are processed to create civil construction materials, such as densely graded base and subbase pavement materials and related aggregate materials that form the basis of high-quality construction projects.
When waste materials are delivered to us, they are sorted, crushed and sized. As well as providing generic materials that match a DGB or DGS specifications, we can also create customised aggregates or fit for purpose blends that are crushed to the client’s chosen specification. If you want a mixture of different grades, the addition of a binder (cement, lime flyash or combinations of each) can be customised and blended through our heavy-duty, high-capacity pugmill.
It’s important to note that the recycled material you’ll buy from us will most often be of the same specification and offer the same high level of performance that you would find from virgin quarried materials. We don’t compromise when it comes to ensuring our customers end up with a premium resource that’s exactly what they’re looking for.
We are well-known to councils across NSW, as well as to several private sector organisations. They use us for either dropping waste materials off and/or purchasing new civil construction materials for their projects.
